Falcons Gear Up For NCAA Regional Competition

The Air Force cross country teams head to Brigham Young University for the 2005 NCAA Mountain Region Championships on Saturday, Nov. 12. The men will run at 11:00 a.m., while the women are scheduled to compete at noon, with the awards ceremony to follow. Both events will be held at the East Bay Golf Course in Provo, Utah.
THREE FALCONS EARN ALL-MWC HONORS
Seniors Nick Wilson, Jeff Gosselin and Nicole Graham earned all-conference honors at the MWC Championships. Clocking 24:28 to finish second, overall, Wilson picked up first-team honors. Gosselin claimed the first all-conference accolades of his career, earning a spot on the second-team with a ninth-place time of 24:49. On the women's side, Graham finished eighth with a time of 21:27, earning the first all-MWC honors of her career, with a spot on the second-team list.

The men and women finished third and sixth, respectively, at the 2005 Mountain West Conference cross country championships on Saturday, Oct. 29, in Fort Collins, Colo.
MEN'S RECAP
BYU picked up the conference crown with 27 points, as all five scoring runners finished within the top 10. Colorado State (62 points) edged out the Falcons (73 points) for second, while Wyoming recorded 108 points to finish fourth. New Mexico tabbed 119 points to take fifth from conference newcomer TCU (140 points), who finished sixth.
WOMEN'S RECAP
BYU continued its dominance of the league with a first-place total of 23 points. New Mexico finished second with 74 points to barely edge out Colorado State (75 points). Wyoming picked up a fourth-place team finish of 121 points, while San Diego State clocked 134 points to take fifth. Utah (189 points) finished seventh behind the Falcons' 128 points, while TCU (192) and UNLV (274) rounded out the field.
