Air Force Finishes Day One At Wolf Pack Classic

Reno, Nev. - With two rounds under wraps, the Air Force golf team sits in a tie for eighth place at Nevada's Wolf Pack Classic, being held at the 7,100-yard, par-72 Wolf Run Golf Course. The Falcons combined for a day one score of 580 (+4) and are tied with Hawaii. Utah leads in the team standings at 562 (-14), while the Utes' Dustin Pimm sits atop the individual leaderboard at 12-under-par (132).
Leading the way for the Falcons is freshman Tom Whitney (La Quinta, Calif.) who shot a 139 (-5) on day one to sit in seventh place, while senior Tyler Goulding (Tracy, Calif.), who fired a 66 in the second round, sits a stroke behind in a tie for eighth place.
Rounding out the group of competitors for Air Force are sophomore Andrew Gibson (San Ramon, Calif.) at 152, junior Matt Tanis (Asbury, N.J.) at 156 and junior Jared Freeman (Brazil, Ind.) at 157
The final round of the Wolf Pack Classic will commence tomorrow morning with an 8:00 (PT) shotgun start.
