Air Force Academy fencers competed in the Colorado Cup on Saturday, Sept. 30 in Denver. The Falcons' top finishers were senior Lydia Bigelow, who was the women's epee runner up, followed by Brynn Thoreson who tied for third place. Freshman Michael O'Connor was the mixed sabre runner up, finishing second out of 13 competitors. In mixed epee, Fred Meyer finished sixth out of 30 fencers.

Also in mixed epee, Bigelow and Thoreson tied for 20th place and Egle Paskeviciutte placed 25th. Chris Pedersen placed seventh out of 21 mixed foil competitors and Paskeviciute also had a fifth-place finish in the event.

The team will host the annual Falcon Open on Oct. 21-22.
