AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) - Dan Nwaelele tied his career-high of 23 points and Jacob Burtschi had 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead Air Force to an 83-59 victory Wednesday night over Radford.
Burtschi had two steals to become the career steals leader at Air Force with 150. Matt McCraw had 17 points and five assists for Air Force (6-1).
Radford (1-5) shot 54 percent from the field while Air Force shot 49 percent, but the Falcons made 13-of-25 3-pointers.
Nwaelele was 6-of-8 from behind the arc. One of his 3-pointers capped a 20-6 run that gave the Falcons a 36-22 lead with less than two minutes remaining in the first half.
The Falcons also took advantage of their shots at the free-throw line, making 20-of-28 foul shots.
Reggie McIntyre led Radford with 18 points. Amir Johnson added 11 points, and Chris Oliver scored 10.
It was the fourth game for Air Force in five days. The Falcons defeated Texas Tech 67-53 Tuesday in the third-place game of the College Basketball Experience Classic.
