Air Force Concludes Competition At Midlands Championships

Evanston, Ill. - The Air Force wrestling team was back in action this week, taking part in the 44th-annual Midlands Championships, hosted by Northwestern. Six Falcons competed in the tournament, with senior captain Bridger Lord (Missoula, Mont.) picking up the lone Air Force victory.
Lord, competing at 149 pounds, opened the day with a 4-0 loss to Purdue's Mark Powell, but came back with a 2-1 decision over Northern Iowa's Charlie Ettelson. His afternoon then ended after dropping a 9-3 decision to Brad Stockton of Waldorf.
Also competing for Air Force at the Midlands Championships were Jake Kriegbaum (Jr., Abilene, Kan.), Zach Lord (Sr., Missoula, Mont.), Duane Miller (Jr., Bellevue, Idaho), Stephen Crozier (So., Monona, Iowa) and Jacob Devlin (Jr., Livingston, N.J.).
The Falcons return to action next week, Jan. 6, at the Lone Star Duals in Grand Prairie, Texas.
