Air Force Falls 2-0 To Wyoming

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. - The Air Force women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 Mountain West Conference match at home to Wyoming Sunday afternoon at the Cadet Soccer Stadium. The Falcons drop to 2-10-2, 0-3 on the season and the Cowgirls improved to 6-7-1, 1-1.
Tamika Wilson put Wyoming ahead with a goal in the 23rd minute. Wilson scored from 12 yards out off a throw-in by Laine Hubbard. Amanda Lathrop made it a 2-0 game with a goal in the 60th minute. Lathrop took a pass from Juliana Candelaria and scored from 30 yards out, sending the ball over AFA goalkeeper Erin Wallace's reach.
Wyoming had 10 shots in the game, with Lathrop leading the way with four shots. Air Force had eight shots in the match, with sophomore Ashley Collins leading the team with four shots.
Wallace had one save for the Falcons. Wyoming keeper Ashley Sheppard had three saves in the shutout.
Air Force returns to action this Thursday, Oct. 18 at Utah.
