Air Force Drops Three-Game Match to UNLV

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The Air Force volleyball team dropped a three-game set to UNLV in Mountain West Conference action on Saturday, Oct. 6, in Las Vegas, Nev. The Falcons fell to the Rebels in straight 30-10, 30-15, 30-20 sets.
Sophomore Michelle Harrington led the Falcons with seven kills, while juniors Jasamine Pettie and Kristina Stewart added six and five, respectively. Senior Kim Kallabis accounted for 10 assists and freshman Jessica Hellmann added seven.
Stewart also tallied 10 digs, while Kallabis and freshman Kelly Spencer added seven apiece. Senior Rebecca Gerton totaled the Falcons' lone service ace.
The Falcons dropped the first game by a 30-10 score and the second by a 30-15 mark. Air Force stayed close throughout the opening of the third game, bringing the score to within four at the 22-18 mark, before ultimately falling by the 30-20.
The Falcons return to the Academy on Thursday, Oct. 11, when they host Colorado State to close out the first half of the Mountain West Conference season. Air Force will host the Rams at 7 p.m., in the Academy's Clune Arena.
