Castle and Nordahl Lead Falcons at Fort Hays

HAYS, Kan. - Highlighted by three top-15 finishes, the Air Force men's cross country "B" team picked up a fourth-place finish at the Fort Hays State Tiger Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 6, in Hays, Kan. Junior Daniel Castle posted a team-best 11th-place finish of 26:29, while sophomore Zach Nordahl placed 12th with a time of 26:36.
Sophomore Austin Fritzke rounded out the Falcons' top-15 finishers (in a field that totaled 133 runners) with a 15th-place time of 26:50.
Senior Calvin Glass finished 25th, with a time of 27:11, while junior Sebastian Ortiz placed 37th with a time of 27:35. Freshman Justin Tyner clocked a time of 27:56 to finish 42nd. Sophomore Ryan Workman finished 46th, with a time of 28:01, while classmate Arthur Grijalva rounded out the field with a 74th-place time of 28:54.
The Falcons' return to action on Saturday (Oct. 13), when the Air Force "A" team travels to Terre Haute, Ind., for the prestigious Pre-NCAA Meet.
