Air Force's Hall named third-team All-America

U.S.A.F. ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force senior WR-Z/TB Chad Hall was named to the third-team All-America team as a specialist today by Rivals.com. Hall is the first Air Force player to be named to an All-American team since offensive lineman Brett Huyser was named fourth-team All-America by The Sporting News in 2002. Hall is the first offensive skill position player at Air Force since Beau Morgan was named to the Associated Press third-team in 1996.
Hall has establishing himself as one of the best players in college football this season. The Atlanta, Ga., product has had a record-breaking senior season. Some of this season's highlights include:
• Leads the Mountain West Conference and is 19th nationally in rushing (117.9 yards per game)
• Leads the conference and is tied for third nationally in all-purpose yards (208.7 per game)
• Leads the team in rushing yards (1,415), receiving yards (488), receptions (46), rushing touchdowns (14), all-purpose yards (2,504) and punt returns (12.6 yards per return)
• Lone player in the nation to lead his team in rushing and receiving yards
• Rushed for over 100-yards in six of last seven games
• In his last seven games, rushed for 1,257 yards and 11 touchdowns and recorded 1,803 all-purpose yards while leading AFA to a 6-1 record
• In the last seven games, has accounted for 62 percent of Air Force's rushing yards and 57 percent of the team's all-purpose yards
• His 179.6 yards per game over the last seven contests is the second-best in nation (Tulane's Matt Forte is averaging 214.1 per game since Oct. 6)
• His 6.9 yards per carry is the best in the nation over the last seven games among players with more than 900 yards • Has averaged 257.6 yards all-purpose, 8.1 yards per touch and 31.7 touches per game the last seven games
• His seven-game rushing and all-purpose streaks are each the best in Air Force history
• Set the school record for rushing yards in a game with 275 vs. Army, breaking his own record of 256 set earlier this season vs. Colorado State
• Set the school record for all-purpose yards with 333 vs. Army
• Owns four of the top six all-purpose single-game performances, including the school record of 333 vs. Army with 275 yards rushing, 19 receiving and 39 on returns • Most rushing yards all-time at the Academy in a season by a non-quarterback and is just 80 yards shy of the school record of 1,494 set by quarterback Beau Morgan in 1996.

Air Force finished the regular season at 9-3 overall and placed second in the Mountain West Conference with a 6-2 mark. The Falcons will play in their first post-season bowl game since 2002 when the team plays in the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl on Dec. 31, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. MT. The team's opponent has not been determined.
