Rabold selected to play in Hula Bowl

Air Force senior outside linebacker John Rabold has been selected to play in the 2008 Hula Bowl All-Star game on Jan. 12 in Hawaii.
John Rabold is establishing himself as one of the best defensive players in the Mountain West Conference. Rabold leads the conference in tackles for loss with 16.5 for 66 yards. In addition, he is sixth in the conference with 5.5 quarterback sacks for 45 yards. He also leads the conference in fumbles recovered with an average of .33 per game. He recovered a fumble against Notre Dame and returned it 19 yards for his first-career touchdown. Rabold has had at least one tackle for loss in 10 straight and 11 of 12 games this season. Against Notre Dame, he led the team with nine tackles and matched his career-high with 2.5 tackles for loss, including a quarterback sack.
Air Force finished the regular season at 9-3 overall and placed second in the Mountain West Conference with a 6-2 mark. The Falcons will play in their first post-season bowl game since 2002 when the team plays in the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl on Dec. 31, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. MT. The team's opponent has not been determined.
