Rifle team went 1-2 in President's Cup

Annapolis, Md. - The Air Force Academy rifle team competed in the service academy President's Cup on Saturday against Navy, Army and the Coast Guard. The Black Knights outscored their opponents with a 5817, besting the Navy shooters (5736) by 81 points followed by Air Force (5656) and Coast Guard (5566).
In the smallbore match, Navy trialed Army with a 2829 followed by Air Force (2795) and Coast Guard (2759). In air rifle, Army's cadets combined for a 2932 edging Navy by 25 points (2907). Air Force fired a 2871 and Coast Guard shot a 2807.
