Peter French AFA's Top Finisher at NACs

Sophomore Peter French was the Academy's top finisher in the North American Cup "C" Tournament in Richmond, Va., over the weekend. French was the 15th-place finisher among 237 competitors in the Division I men's epee tournament. Senior Eliza Enyart finished 73rd in the Division 1 women's epee competition among 113 competitors. Freshman Nick Stockdale finished 60th in Division I men's foil.
In the Division I men's sabre, sophomore Michael O'Connor tied for 78th place among 110 fencers.
Also competing in the Division I men's epee tournament was senior Fred Meyer who finished 191st. Freshmen Daniel Trapani and Curtis Christensen finished 77th and 182nd, respectively.
The Academy's fencing team will have the next few weeks off. The Academy will host the 2008 Western Invitational, Jan. 12-13, at the Cadet Gymnasium. The event is open to the public and 10 a.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. on Sunday.
