The Air Force women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to the 35th-ranked TCU Horned Frogs Saturday in Albuquerque, N.M. TCU improved to 15-8 overall and 6-1 in the Mountain West Conference this season, while the Falcons fell to 10-14 and 0-7 in league play.
TCU dominated the three doubles matches, as its No. 1 team of Anna Sydorska and Nina Munch-Soegaard shut out AFA sophomore Christine Abayan and junior Lauren Wilson, 8-0. Ana Cetnik and Kewa Nicholes won at No. 2 over Falcon seniors Kelly Morgan and Karissa Walker, 8-4 and Andrea Morgado and Karine Ionesco completed the sweep with an 8-3 victory at No. 3 over sophomore Meghan Kiser and freshman Erlyn Rudico.
The Horned Frogs rolled through the six singles matches as well, as their top three players, all ranked in the nation's top 100 players, won in straight sets. No. 93 Munch-Soegaard beat Abayan, 6-3, 6-0, at No. 1, while Sydorska, ranked No. 58, beat Kiser, 6-3, 6-1. The 43rd-ranked Cetnik beat Wilson at No. 3, 6-1, 6-0. TCU won the other three singles matches in straight sets as well.
The Falcons wrap up the regular season on Sunday against New Mexico in Albuquerque.
