Enayrt, AFA's top finisher in NAC Atlanta

The Air Force Academy fencers competed in Atlanta, Ga., this past weekend at the North American Cup Division I/Junior events. The Falcons' top Division I performer was senior Eliza Enyart, a native of Bend, Ore., who finished 23rd among the field of 138 in women's epee.
Enyart has been one of the team's top finishers throughout her Academy career. She is a three-time NCAA qualifier (2005, 2006, and 2007) and 2006 honorable mention NCAA All-American, finishing 11th in epee. She is a 2007 all-region in the Western Region.
AFA's sophomore Peter French, from Austin, Texas, competing in the men's NAC Division I epee competition finished 83rd among 259 competitors. Also in men's epee, senior Adam Schenk, a native of Hastings, Minn., finished tied for 138, while senior Fred Meyer, Morristown, N.J., finished tied for 215th place.
In Division I men's foil, freshmen Nick Stockdale, from Lansdowne, Pa., placed 94th among 193 fencers and Peter Fang, Duluth, Ga., finished tied for 188th place.
Sophomore Michael O'Connor, of Charlotte, N.C., finished 86th in the men's sabre competition among 145 fencers. In Division I women's epee, senior Brynn Thoreson, Littleton, Colo., finished 96th.
February 1, the Academy's fencers will travel to Boston for the Brandies Invitational.
