Select members of the Air Force track and field team will travel to Fayetteville, Ark., for the prestigious Tyson Invitational on Friday-Saturday (Feb. 15-16). The meet, which features athletes from nearly 90 schools, will take place at the Randal Tyson Track Center - the home of the 2008 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.

FRIDAY'S SCHEDULE
The Falcons will compete in four events on Friday, beginning with the men's 60-meter hurdles at 11 a.m. (CST). The men's shot put and women's championship pole vault will follow at noon, while the men's 60-meter dash will be held at 2:40 p.m. The top-eight qualifiers from the hurdles and dash will advance to the finals, which will be held at 8:50 p.m. and 9:15 p.m., respectively.

SATURDAY'S SCHEDULE
Saturday's action begins at 10 a.m., with the women's collegiate pole vault. The preliminary heats of the men's 200-meter dash will begin at 11:45, while the women's shot put and men's weight throw will each start at noon. The men's championship pole vault will begin at 2:45 p.m. The consolation finals of Friday's 60-meter hurdles are scheduled for 1:45 p.m., while the finals of the 200-meter dash are set to start at 4:15 p.m.

BEERSE CLAIMS ANOTHER ONE
Sophomore Melissa Beerse picked up another victory in the pole vault at the Don Barrett-Air Force Open on Feb. 9. Beerse cleared the 13-foot plateau for the second straight weekend, winning the event with a clearance of 13'0¼".
WHITE-OUT THE RECORD BOOK
Freshman Necressainne White moved into the Academy's all-time records in a pair of events during competition at the Air Force Open (Feb. 9). Recording a fifth-place distance of 18'1", White moved into fifth place on the Falcons' all-time long jump list. She also claimed a ninth-place time of 7.84 in the 60-meter dash, which is the seventh-fastest time in program history.
WHAT'S ON DECK
The Falcons will travel to Laramie, Wyo., on Friday, Feb. 22, for the Robert Shine Invitational. The meet, which will be a final tune-up before the Mountain West Conference championships, has been canceled during each of the last two seasons due to weather issues.
