Falcon's Announce Team Awards

USAF Academy, Colo. - Women's Soccer head coach Marty Buckley announced his team's 2007 awards. Team Most Valuable Player went to senior defender Christin Brodie.
Offensive MVP honors went to junior Corbin Sanford. Junior Rachael Emory took home Defensive MVP honors. Rookie of the Year honors went to freshman Lyndsey Horn and the Coach's Award went to senior Katherine Slogic.
Brodie, a four-year letterwinner, appeared and started 17 games for the Falcons in 2007. A team captain as a senior, the Flower Mound, Texas, native appeared in 76 career games for the Falcons.
Sanford, a three-year letterwinner, played and started all 18 games for the Falcons. Sanford ranked third on the team with four points and was tied for the team lead with two assists.
Emory, a three-year letterwinner and two-time all-Mountain West Conference selection, also played and started in 18 games. Emory was second on the team with five points and two goals scored.
Horn, a freshman from Albuqueruque, N.M., appeared in all 18 games for the Falcons, making one start. Slogic was a four-year letterwinner for the Falcons and led the team in scoring with three goals and six points. Slogic played and started all 18 games for the Falcons. The Colorado Springs native and Liberty High School graduate played in 60 career games.
Air Force also announced its team captains for the 2008 season. Juniors Kristin Wolverton and Roni Yadlin will co-captain the team as seniors next fall.
