ACADEMY ANNOUNCES TRAFFIC CONTROL, PARKING FOR GRADUATION

The Academy Security Forces team have established traffic control and parking restrictions for the graduation ceremony at Falcon Stadium Wednesday, May 28.
Falcon Stadium gates will open at 7 a.m., with the graduates entering the stadium at approximately 10 a.m. Graduation tickets will be needed for entry into the stadium. Ticket holders should arrive at the stadium no later than 8:30 a.m. due to increased security and heavy traffic. There will be absolutely no public admission after 10 a.m.
Those attending the graduation ceremony and entering through the Academy's North Gate will be parked north of the stadium in Lots 5 and 5A, off Academy Drive. Vehicles entering the South Gate will be parked south of the stadium in Lots 1 and 2 and 2A. Handicapped parking will be at the top of Lot 2, outside of Gate 3 and at the top of Lot 5. Handicapped guest entering through Gate 4, near Lot 5 should arrive before 8 a.m. as the gate will close at 9 a.m. Guests are encouraged to carpool due to limited parking.
Additionally, those attending graduation will go through magnetometers before entry into Falcon Stadium and will have purses or personal items inspected. All guests must have tickets to enter the stadium.
No boxes, alcohol, weapons, firecrackers, signs or poles, beverage containers of any sort, backpacks, large handbags, coolers, thermoses or similar items will be allowed in the stadium. Food and drink are prohibited with the exception of clear, unopened water bottles, 24 ounces or smaller. Cameras and video cameras are permitted; however, please be prepared to remove camera lenses for security inspection at the stadium gates. Diaper bags will be allowed when a child is present - no strollers please. Refreshments will be available from vendors throughout the stadium.
Please note that there are no elevators in the stadium, and handicapped-accessible seating is limited and first-come, first-served.
Beginning at 10 a.m., graduation day, no one will be allowed to exit the stadium until the Thunderbird demonstration is complete at approximately 12:45 p.m. Also, to ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Administration regulations, no one will be allowed in parked cars, or driving or walking within the performance area.
There will be no parking in the cadet area during graduation week activities. Disabled parking will be at the upper parade field parking area. State disabled person plates or placards may be used. Shuttles will run from this lot to all events in the cadet area for disabled people. Designated bus stops must be used.
All visitor parking during graduation week is in the cadet field house parking areas. Shuttle buses will be provided to all major events in the cadet area. Shuttles for visitors to the cadet area will run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. from today, through Tuesday, May 27. No shuttle buses will run on graduation day. All guests must be escorted by authorized Academy staff or cadets when entering the cadet area. No public access to the Terrazzo is authorized.
