Falcons Fall to Lobos, 76-66

AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP)--Roman Martinez tied his season high with 20 points and New Mexico handed the Air Force Falcons their 11th straight loss, 76-66 Wednesday night.
Tony Danridge, coming off a career-best 26-point game against UNLV, added 16 points for the Lobos (16-9, 7-3 Mountain West Conference), who trailed 37-33 at halftime despite scoring the game's first 15 points but benefitted by going inside and drawing fouls in the second half.
Matt Holland scored 20 points and Andrew Henke had 19 for the Falcons (9-14, 0-10). Air Force's other senior, Anwar Johnson, scored 11.
Phillip McDonald added 12 points for the Lobos, who didn't trail over the final 16:49 and outscored the Falcons 23-14 from the free throw line. New Mexico went to the line 36 times, twice as much as the Falcons.
