Air Force Falls At The Citadel Saturday, 8-1

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Air Force dropped a 8-1 baseball game at The Citadel Saturday afternoon at Riley Park. The Falcons fall to 8-16 on the season, while the Bulldogs improved to 13-9.
The Citadel scored in four of the first five innings to jump ahead 8-0. Matt Crim (2-2) held Air Force to one one run on seven hits in eight innings pitched.
Falcon starter Matt Barattino (1-1) took the loss, allowing eight runs in four innings pitched. Freshman Michael Ceci pitched four scoreless innings in relief.
Ben Ausbun led Air Force with two hits. Ausbun and Parker Mayo both hit doubles for the Falcons.
The Citadel had nine hits on the day. Sonny Meade led the way, going 3-for-5 with three RBIs.
Air Force and the Citadel wrap-up the four-game series tomorrow, March 29. First pitch is slated for 1 p.m.
