FALCONS KICK OFF NEW SEASON HOSTING THE NICK TOTH OPEN

The Air Force Academy fencing team will host the annual Nick Toth Open this weekend at the Cadet Gymnasium Center Gym, Sept. 19-20. The two-day tournament will begin at 10 a.m. through 5 p.m., and is open to the public.
The schedule of events is as follows:
Saturday, September 19th 2009:
Senior Mixed Epee at 9:30 AM; Senior Women's Saber at 9:30 AM; Y12 Mixed Epee 10:30 AM; Senior Mixed Saber at 12:30 PM; Senior Women's Epee at 12:30 PM
Sunday, September 20th 2009:
Senior Mixed Foil at 9:30 AM; Y14 Mixed Epee at 9:30 AM; Senior Women's Foil at 12:00 PM; Cadet (U17) Mixed Epee at 1:00 PM
Preregistration closes on 09/18/2009
Control Checks: Only Masks will be checked. All other equipment will be tested on the strip.
Registration: Entry Fee: $35 fee per event - included with fee is an event t-shirt. Register on http://askfred.net, then pay on the day of the competition. Please make checks payable to AFAAA. (If a fencer wants to fence in two events, two checks are required). Separate registration for each event is required. Please register on http://askfred.net.
All US Fencing Association rules will apply. Proof of USFA membership is required. Format: 1 round of pools. 80% will advance to DE with no repechage.
Results will be posted on www.goairforcefalcons.com and askfred.net, following the end of the Nick Toth Open.
