To the Great Supporters and Graduates of the Air Force Academy,

We have had a tremendous response to the Thunderbird Helmet offer we sent out last week and we want to thank those who have made the very generous contribution to both our Falcon football program and the men and women in our armed forces who will now have the opportunity to attend the game because our your tremendous generosity. We still have some helmets available for those who would still like to be a part of helping support our team and military members. Well over 1,000 tickets have been purchased and donated through the Thunderbird helmet offer since last Friday and we are now over 7,000 tickets sold for the game next week. We are nearing our allotment total of 11,000 and believe with the tremendous support of our Falcon community we can have a great showing in Shreveport.

The chance to play in a prestigiuos bowl game happens because of the terrific accomplishments of our cadets with the guidance and backing of the fine leadership of our Academy General officers and staff. The Dec 27th Shreveport, LA Independence Bowl provides one of those rare opportunities to globally share our mission of the Air Force Academy while we play against Georgia Tech on ESPN 2. Kickoff is at 4 pm CST and will be the only college football game that day. We earned this bowl invitation because of the deserved reputation from the past three years of being a school that strongly supports our teams in post season contests. As we do so often, it's time for the Falcons to rally. Support the team who fought to bring the Commander In Chief's trophy back to the Air Force Academy.

We are only one week from kickoff, so let's purchase tickets and make sure we have the Independence Bowl full of Falcons pulling for America's future leaders. Thanks for your help and always- Go Air Force!
