Nash Mills Named MPSF Gymnast of the Week

WOODLAND, Calif. - Air Force junior Nash Mills was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Gymnast of the Week, the league office announced this morning (March 23). It is the second such career honor for Mills and the first of the season for the Falcons' program. Mills, a two-time CGA Gymnast of the Week this season, collected three event titles during Air Force's 10-point win over Arizona State last weekend.
During the Falcons' neutral site meet with the Sun Devils in Tucson, Ariz., on Friday, March 19, Mills collected his fifth all-around title of the season with a combined score of 84.450. Contributing to that score were a pair of first-place finishes on the still rings (14.800) and high bar (14.150), as well as top-five placements on the vault (15.400, third) and pommel horse (13.300, fifth). Mills' score of 14.800 on the still rings matched his career high.
The native of Coto de Caza, Calif., is currently ranked eighth in the league in the all-around (three-score average of 85.567. Mills returns to action on Friday, March 26, when the Falcons host the 2010 USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Championships at 5 p.m.
