Sophomore Kyle Westmoreland posted the second top 10 finish in his career and the Air Force men's golf team finished in 11th place after the final round of the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate Tournament Saturday in Albuquerque, N.M. The Falcons finished with a three-round total of 908 on the par 72, 7,248-yard Championship Course at the University of New Mexico.
Westmoreland, meanwhile, finished in a tie for seventh place after shooting a three-over par 75 on Saturday. He completed the tournament with a one-over par total of 217. Junior Andrew Hoops finished in a tie for 55th place with a total of 229.
UNLV won the team title with a three-over par total of 867, four shots better than host New Mexico. Meanwhile, Zachary Blair of BYU won the individual title with a seven-under par 209, four shots better than runner-up James Erkenbeck of New Mexico.
The Falcons travel to Macon, Ga., next weekend for the Brickyard Collegiate Championship, hosted by Mercer University.
