Herrington named MW Football Special Teams Player of the Week

Air Force football junior specialist Parker Herrington was named Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance against Army, announced today by the conference office. Herrington's three field goals helped Air Force to a 24-14 win over Army.
Herrington joined teammate Jon Davis, who was named MW Defensive Player of the week.
Herrington kicked a career-high and three field goals in the Falcons' 24-14 win over Army, the fifth time this season he has connected on multiple field goals in a game. Herrington, who delivered field goals of 37 and 39 yards (twice), improved to 10-of-10 on the season inside 40 yards. The three field goals are the most made by a MW player in a single game this season. Herrington has made 12-of-13 field-goal attempts overall and nine straight in 2011.
