Falcons Play at UNM in Regular-Season Finale
The Air Force Falcons (15-13, 6-9 MWC) play their final game of the regular season on Saturday, March 5 against the New Mexico Lobos (7-8 MWC) at The Pit in Albuquerque, N.M. beginning at 4 p.m. The game will be broadcast locally on AM 740 KVOR and televised nationally on The Mtn. The Falcons are coming off a 70-65 victory over TCU on Wednesday, while the Lobos defeated #3 BYU, 82-64, in Provo, Utah.
Air Force Clinches Winning Regular-Season vs. TCU
Sophomore Michael Lyons broke a 65-65 tie with two free throws with 38.5 seconds remaining to propel the Falcons (15-13, 6-9 Mountain West) to a 70-65 come-from-behind victory over Texas Christian Wednesday night. Lyons, who left the game briefly in the second half after a hard fall, finished with a team-high 20 points to send TCU (10-21, 1-15) to its 13th consecutive defeat.
The victory sealed a winning regular season for Air Force, its first since going 16-14 in 2007-08, Jeff Reynolds' first season as head coach.
