ACADEMY FENCERS TO HOST WESTERN INVITATIONAL

U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. -- Air Force Academy fencers will host the 2012 Western Invitational at the Cadet Gymnasium on Saturday, Jan. 7. The event is open to the public. Seven teams will compete, to include Air Force, Caltech, Stanford, UC San Diego, Notre Dame (men) and Northwestern (women), University of Florida and Swarthmore College.
Team competition begins at 8:00 a.m., with Air Force vs. Florida, Caltech vs. UCSD, and Swarthmore vs. Stanford. This will be the final event at home for the Air Force Academy class of 2012 fencers.
