Air Force Drops 1-0 Match At New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Air Force women's soccer fell to New Mexico, 1-0, Friday night at the UNM Soccer Complex. The loss dropped the Falcons to 5-7-3, 0-5, while the Lobos improved to 9-5-2, 3-1-1.

New Mexico scored the lone goal of the match in the 46th minute. Alexis Leyba scored for the Lobos off a corner kick.

Air Force had eight shots, two on goal. Sophomore midfielder McKenna Fox led AFA with three shots. Junior goalkeeper Kelly Stambaugh had three saves in the loss.

Air Force returns to action Sunday, Oct. 21, at #6 San Diego State.
