Falcons Finish Fifth at Snowman Getaway

The Air Force men's golf team opened its 2013 spring schedule with a fifth-place finish at the 2013 Snowman Getaway, hosted by Washington State University. Junior Kyle Westmoreland was AFA's top individual, finishing in a tie for sixth place with a three-round total of two-under par 214 on the par-72, 7,015-yard Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Ariz.The Falcons shot a final round 289, with three players, Westmoreland and juniors Philip Colwell and Jack Howard, each shooting an even-par 72 on Tuesday. Senior Andrew Hoops fired a one-over par 73 and sophomore Blake Edwards turned in a 74.
The University of Missouri won the team title, with MU's Jace Long and Washington State's Michael Anderson tied for the individual title with a seven-under par total of 209.
The Falcons are idle until Monday, March 11 at the Jackrabbit Invitational hosted by South Dakota State, in Primm, Nev.
