The Air Force men's golf team finished in a tie for eighth place at the 2013 Desert Shootout in Goodyear, Ariz. The Falcons fired a final round 292 Saturday on the par 71, 6,925-yard Palm Valley Golf Club Saturday to finish with a three-round total of 13-over par 865, tying with Tulsa, Kansas and Idaho.

Senior Andrew Hoops and junior Philip Colwell were the top individuals for Air Force, tying for 23rd place with a two-over par total of 215. Colwell and junior Kyle Westmoreland, who tied for 33rd place, each shot a team-best 71 on Saturday.

The Falcons return to action on Monday, April 8 at the Cowboy Classic in Scottsdale, Ariz.
