GAME FACTS: Air Force is playing the second road game in a stretch that has the Falcons playing three of four games on the road ... The Falcons started the stretch at Boise State Sept. 13 ... Air Force was at home last week vs. Wyoming, then travels to service-academy rival Navy next week ... Air Force and Nevada are playing for just the second time ... Air Force won the initial game, 48-31, last season at Falcon Stadium ... This week's game marks Air Force's first against a team from the West Division of the conference ... COACHES: Air Force is coached by Troy Calhoun (Air Force, 1989), who is in his seventh season. He has led the Falcons to 48-34 career record. Calhoun is 29-21 in MW games, 19-13 in non-conference games, 29-11 in Falcon Stadium, 15-18 in road games (12-11 in MW road games) and 2-4 in bowl games. Calhoun is 1-0 vs. Nevada. Nevada is coached by Brian Polian (John Carroll, 1997), who is in his first season. He has led the Wolfpack to a 2-2 overall record. Polian was the special teams coordinator and tight ends coach at Texas A&M in 2012 before taking over at Nevada.
THE SERIES: Air Force and Nevada are playing for just the second time, both as conference members. The teams first played last season in Falcon Stadium. Air Force won the game, 48-31.
