Falcons Wrap up First Day of UTEP Tournament

EL PASO, Texas - The Air Force golf team wrapped up the first day of action at Price's Give'Em 5 Invitational this afternoon (Oct. 24) in El Paso, Texas. Finishing the initial 18 holes with a three-over par score of 291, the Falcons stand in 12th after the first round of play.
Blake Edwards is the Falcons' leader after the first day of competition, as the senior is tied for 30th with a one-under par score of 71. Sophomore Sunwoo Choi and freshman Sutton Farmer are tied for 51st with matching one-over par rounds of 73, while freshman Kyle Fuller is tied for 59th after shooting a 74. Sophomore Brenden Bone rounded out the Air Force squad with a first-round score of 76 (72nd, tie).
Freshman Todd Millard, competing as an individual, is tied with Choi and Farmer after carding a 73.
UTSA leads the team standings with a 21-under par round of 267, while New Mexico State's Isaac Merry is the individual leader with a nine-under 63.
Air Force returns to El Paso's Butterfield Trail Golf Club tomorrow (Oct. 25) for the second round of 18. Action is slated to begin at 8:00 a.m. (MT).
