
Falcons Conclude First Day of PING Cougar Classic

PROVO, Utah - The Air Force golf team concluded the first day of competition at the PING Cougar Classic this evening (April 24) in Provo, Utah. It was a rough start at the Riverside Country Club for the Falcons, who are currently in 11th with a 32-over par score of 608 (306-302).
After recording the team's lowest round of the day (73) during the first 18 holes, freshman Sutton Farmer is the Falcons' leader after the first 36 holes, tying for 41st with a five-over par score of 149 (73-76). Junior Michael Fan is just one shot back (76-74=150) and tied for 44th. Freshman Todd Millard and sophomore Brenden Bone are also separated by just one stroke, as Millard shot a 10-over par score of 154 (80-74) to tie for 51st and Bone carded a 155 (77-78) to place 53rd. Senior Blake Edwards rounded out the field after the first day, tying for 60th with a score of 163 (80-83, 19 over).
Colorado State currently leads the team standings with a 12-under par score of 564, while Southern Utah's Nic Booth leads the individual standings with a six-under 138.
The Falcons return to Riverside Country Club tomorrow (April 25) for the final 18 holes of the PING Cougar Classic at 7:00 a.m. (MT).
