Air Force Continues Action at UTEP Invitational

EL PASO, Texas - The Air Force golf team recorded its best round of the season (282) this afternoon (Oct. 25) to improve to three-under par (573) at the Price's Give'Em 5 Invitational in El Paso, Texas. The Falcons, who remain in 12th overall after two rounds, were seventh during the second round of 18 with a six-under par score of 282.
Senior Blake Edwards fired a five-under par score of 67 - the Falcons' best round of the season and a mark that is tied for the fourth-best individual round of the tournament - to move from 30th to 16th in the overall standings with a six-under par total of 138.
Sophomore Sunwoo Choi improved to 41st in the individual standings after shooting a two-under 70 in the second round, a score that brought his total to a one-under score of 143. Freshman Sutton Farmer, who shot an even-par 72 on the second 18, is tied for 53rd with a two-day total of 145 (one-over par) and classmate Kyle Fuller is tied for 72nd after two rounds (147, three-over) following a one-over par score of 73. Sophomore Brenden Bone recorded a two-over par score of 74 today to remain in tied for 72nd with a six-over par total of 150.
Freshman Todd Millard, competing as an individual, shot an 82 on the second 18 to fall to 84th.
New Mexico State shot a 271 on Saturday to take over first in the team standings (33-under par total of 543). The Aggies also boast the tournament's individual leader, as Isaac Murray maintained his lead with a 14-under par score of 130.
Air Force concludes the fall season tomorrow (Oct. 26) morning during the final round of play at Price's Give'Em 5 Invitational. Action is slated to begin at 8:00 a.m. (MT) at the Butterfield Trail Golf Club.
