Air Force Closes Fall Season with 11th-Place Finish

EL PASO, Texas - The Air Force golf team closed out the fall season with an 11th-place finish at the Price's Give'Em 5 Invitational this afternoon (Oct. 26) in El Paso, Texas. Shooting a four-under par score of 284 over the final 18 holes, the Falcons finished seven-under par for the three-day tournament with a 54-hole score of 857 (291-282-284).
Senior Blake Edwards recorded the Falcons' best score for the third straight tournament, shooting a two-under 70 on the final day to finish tied for 16th with an eight-under total of 208 (71-67-70). Freshman Sutton Farmer equaled Air Force's best round of the season (67) during the final 18 to move up 22 places, finishing the weekend in a tie for 31st with a four-under score of 212 (73-72-67).
Recording a 74 on the final 18, sophomore Sunwoo Choi tied for 50th with a one-over score of 217 (73-79-74), while freshman Kyle Fuller hit a 73 on Sunday to tie for 64th with a four-over total of 220 (74-73-73). Sophomore Brenden Bone, the final member of the Falcons' squad, recorded an 83 to finish the three-day tournament in a tie for 82nd with a 17-over total of 233 (76-74-83).
Freshman Todd Millard, competing as an individual at the Butterfield Trail Golf Club, shot a six-over par score of 78 to finish the three-day tournament with a 233 and tie with Bone for 82nd (73-82-78).
New Mexico State won the Price's Give'Em 5 Invitational team title, finishing the three-day tournament with a 46-under par score of 818, while San Jose State's Cody Black and Missouri-Kansas City's Antoine Rozner tied for the individual title with matching 18-under scores of 198.
With the fall season now complete, Air Force is off from competition until Feb. 22-24, when the squad travels to Goodyear, Ariz., to open the spring season at the Snowman Getaway.
