
Air Force beat Cal Baptist, 8-7

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. - Air Force sophomore Robby Stiefel scored with 2:51 left in the game to lift the Falcons to an 8-7 win over Cal Baptist in a Western Water Polo Association game, Friday, Nov. 7, in Riverside, Calif.
Cal Baptist scored the first goal of the game and built a 4-2 lead in the second period. Air Force came back to tie the game early in the third period on a goal by senior Petar Jackovich. The game see-sawed back and forth throughout the second half. Falcon senior Jantz Johnson scored with 3:44 left in the fourth to take a 7-6 lead, but the Lancers quickly tied the game. Stiefel then netted the game-winner with 2:51 remaining.
Johnson, Stiefel and Ben Rogers each scored two goals to lead the Falcons. Stiefel also had three assists and four steals in the game. Max Benson made eight saves for the Falcons.
Air Force, 13-14 overall, concludes the regular season at Loyola Marymount, Sunday, Nov. 9, in Los Angeles.
