Conant named MW Special Teams Player of the Week Award

Air Force senior kicker Will Conant has been named Mountain West Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts in Air Force's thrilling 27-24 win over No. 21 Colorado State Nov. 28. This marks the second time this season Conant has won the award. In addition to the MW honor, Conant was named honorable mention kicker of the week by collegefootballperformance.com.
Conant kicked the game-winning 39-yard field goal as time expired. He also hit a 33-yard field goal earlier in the game and punted seven times for a 52.9 average. He had five punts of 50 yards or more and three that were downed inside the 20.
Conant is second in the conference and 19th nationally in punting with a 43.8 average. He has hit 18 of 20 field goals this season and is a semifinalist for the Groza Award, giving annually to the nation's top kicker. Conant has hit 29-of-33 field goals in his career and his 87.8 field goal percentage is the best in school history.
