
Air Force With Overtime Win Against UC Davis Sunday

Shalongo got possession of the ball in Air Force territory and weaved her way through the UC Davis defense. She got into the Aggie 18-yard box and fired to the left post for the golden goal in the first overtime period. Air Force tied a school record with its third-consecutive overtime match.
Air Force and UC Davis were even with nine shots apiece. The Aggies held a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Freshman Alex Kahalley posted a shutout in her goalkeeping debut for the Falcons. Kahalley had five saves in the win.
Northern Colorado hosts Southeast Missouri State in the second game of the Falcon Invitational. First and second place will be determined in that match. Air Force takes third and UC Davis places fourth.
All-Tournament is slated to be announced Monday.
Air Force returns to action Friday, Sept. 12, hosting Central Michigan.
