Women's Soccer Falls to New Mexico on Sunday

U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. - Air Force women's soccer dropped a match against New Mexico, 3-0, in Mountain West Conference action Sunday afternoon at Cadet Soccer Stadium. The Falcon's MW record is now 2-7-1 with an overall record of 4-13-1. New Mexico's record improves to 9-7-1 with a conference record of 7-2-1.
New Mexico's Madisyn Olguin would strike first with a follow off the save goal at the eight minute mark. The Falcon's would hold the Lobo's at one for 65 minutes before New Mexico's Maddie Irwin would score at the 75th minute from the throw in. The third and final goal of the game would come in the 76th minute from Olguin. Olguin had two goals on the game and seven on the season.
Kristina O'Sullivan led the Falcon's with two shots, while Morgan Mavroudis and Angela Karamanos tallied a shot apiece.
New Mexico held the advantage in shots 16-4, and both teams logged four corner kicks. Falcon goalie Jennifer Hiddink logged eight saves, while New Mexico tallied two. New Mexico was tabbed with 12 fouls and Air Force had five.
Air Force women's soccer continues conference play at home against Colorado College on Friday, Oct. 30 at 7pm.
