Falcons Drop 1-0 Match to San Jose State

USAF Academy, Colo. - Air Force women's soccer dropped a 0-1 match against San Jose State (6-5-2, 4-1-0) in Mountain West Conference action Thursday afternoon at Cadet Soccer Stadium. The Falcon's Mountain West record is now 2-2-1 with an overall record of 4-7-1.
The Spartans would strike with the only goal in the game by Dorthe Hoppius at the 12:25 mark from a follow off a deflected save. San Jose State took twice as many shots as Air Force (9-4) in the first half.
Angela Karamanos took three shots on the game, followed by Ally swift with two shots on goal. Air Force tallied 10 shots for the game; the Spartans took 11 total shots on the game.
After a scoreless second half, Air Force ended the game with three corner kicks and 14 fouls. The Spartans finished the game with four corner kicks and eight fouls.
Freshman goalkeeper Jennifer Hiddink logged 90 minutes of playing time, making all five of the Air Force saves. Spartan goalkeeper Zoe Makrigiannis also logged 90 minutes on the game and tallied all four of the San Jose State saves.
