Tyler Jones Named To MW Baseball Preseason All-Conference Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Sophomore outfielder Tyler Jones of Air Force baseball has been named to the 2015 Mountain West Preseason All-Conference Baseball team, announced today by the conference office.

Jones is coming off a freshman campaign where he led the team with a .338 average, 19 doubles and 31 RBIs. The Coppell, Texas native earned Freshman All-American honors and was Air Force's first freshman to earn all-conference honors since 1991. Jones was also recently named College Sports Madness MW Preseason All-Conference first-team.

Air Force was picked to finish sixth out of seven teams in the MW preseason coaches poll, also released today. New Mexico edged out San Diego State as the first place selection.

Falcon baseball opens the season in three days, playing a three-game set at The Citadel, beginning Feb. 14.
