
Falcons compete in Mountain West Championships, Feb. 18-21

The Air Force women's swimming team travels to San Antonio, Texas for the Mountain West Championships, Wednesday-Sunday, Feb. 18-21.
In the MW pre-championship coaches' poll, the Falcons were picked to finish sixth, the same spot Air Force placed in the 2014 championships. Boise State was picked to win the championship with San Diego State a close second. Nevada and Wyoming tied for third in the pre-championship poll while UNLV was fifth and Air Force and New Mexico tied for sixth.
Several Falcons rank among the conference leaders in their respective events.
Sophomore Genevieve Miller holds the league's fastest time in the 500 freestyle (4:43.96), the 1000 free (9:52.54) and the 1650 free (16:17.20). She ranks sixth in the 200 free (1:48.81).
Senior Kim Davis holds the conference's fastest time in the 400 IM (4;16.20). She also ranks fourth in the 200 IM (2:02.19).
Junior Sara Menke ranks third in the 500 free (4:49.09), third in the 1000 free (10:05.76) and fourth in the 1650 free (16:47.08).
Freshman Elise Hart ranks seventh in the 100 backstroke (55.56). Freshman Maria Schroeder is fifth in the 100 butterfly (54.57) and ninth in the 200 fly (2:02.60).
