
Air Force Falls Sunday at New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Air Force baseball dropped a 5-0 game at New Mexico in Mountain West action Sunday afternoon at Lobo Field. The loss dropped the Falcons to 15-19, 8-10 MW.
Freshman Tyler Stevens (2-3) tossed a one-hit shutout for the Lobos (19-15, 11-7) in the complete game win. Stevens did not walk a batter while striking out four.
Junior Trent Monaghan (4-2) allowed three runs, two earned, in six innings in the start for AFA. Monaghan struck out two. Senior Ben Yokley and freshmen Nick Biancalana and Joe Kincart also pitched in relief.
New Mexico plated a run in the first and two in the sixth and seventh innings. The Lobos had nine hits. Left fielder Lane Milligan had a double, RBI and two walks.
Air Force's base hit came from catcher Travis Wilkie in the third inning. Third baseman Noah Pierce also reached base twice on errors and stole a base.
The Falcons return to action Tuesday, April 14, hosting Northern Colorado.
