Air Force Rifle Team Showcase

U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. - The Air Force rifle team showcased their sport on the Falcon Rifle Range, Sept. 17. Several Academy AMTs, AOCs, instructors, and athletic department leadership, took up the gun to demonstrate their skills on the range.
"The USAFA Rifle team really appreciated the support shown by AOC's, AMT's, instructors, and AD leadership as many came down to learn to shoot with the team," said head coach Launi Meili.
From the athletic department were Jim Knowlton, Col Brian Hill and Col Tony McKenzie who showed their skill with the smallbore gun.
"We had the political science department down, led by Col Kearney, with a few from astro and history," added Meili. "The highlight of the day was when Col Hill and Col McKenzie showed off their skill in smallbore, shooting nice groups in prone, only to be topped by Mr. Knowlton's 10.5 in the standing position! Thanks again everyone for coming down."
