The Falcons led early with sophomore Lizzy Denton scoring the first goal at the 12:16 mark. Kristina O'Sullivan and Ashley Greco were credited with assists. O'Sullivan passed from midfield to Greco, who sent the ball into the box to Denton, who finished with the one-timer from 10 yards out.

Air Force went back ahead on freshman Taylor Cobb's first-career goal, coming at the 44:27 mark. Cobb took a pass from Brooke Rittmann and sent one to the right side of the goal from 15 yards out.
The Falcons held the score for most of the second-half, but FDU came back as Elma Kolenovic tied the match up again with a score in the 75th. Patricia Seitz assisted on the last two Knight goals.
Both teams had 17 shots on the night. Fairleigh Dickinson had 13 shots on goal to Air Force's eight. The Falcons held a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Sophomore Alex Kahalley had 10 saves in goal for the Falcons.
"Our team gave it a tremendous effort tonight," head coach Larry Friend said. "But we have to give credit to Fairleigh Dickinson because they finished more of their chances than we did. We just need to recover from this match and get back out on the field Sunday."
Air Force returns to action Sunday, Sept. 6, hosting Morehead State. Kickoff is 11 a.m.
