AIR FORCE LAST WEEK
Air Force rolled to a 63-7 victory vs. Morgan State in Falcon Stadium to open the 2015 season. The Falcons compiled 513 total yards, including 394 rushing, while holding the Bears to just 195. Air Force had nine different Falcons score touchdowns with seven coming on the ground. Quarterback Nate Romine hit four of seven passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns while D.J. Johnson pounded out 82 yards rushing and a score. Senior WR Garrett Brown had 180 all-purpose yards and scored on a 75 yard punt return, the sixth longest return in school history. Brown punt-return score is the first by a Falcon since 2009. He also had two catches for a team-best 58 yards and rushed for 39 yards on three carries. The defense was solid the entire game. Sophomore Grant Ross led the Falcons with five tackles and a sack while six Falcons all had four tackles each. The defense had seven tackles for loss, including five sacks. The 56-point victory margin is the fifth largest in school history and biggest since a school record 72 points margin over Nicholls State, 72-0, in 2009. Air Force's 63 points tie as the eighth most in school history and are the most since scoring 65 vs. Northwestern State in 2010.
