AIR FORCE RIFLE HEADS TO PATRIOT RIFLE CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS

TCU will host the Patriot Rifle Conference Championships, now in its third year, on Feb. 6-7.
Last year, Air Force finished fourth in the conference, and is looking to best that previous place by at least three spots. Going into the PRCs, Air Force is currently ranked No. 6 in the College Rifle Coaches Association Polls. The Falcons sit one-spot higher than PRC opponent No. 7 Ohio State, TCU is tied for third with non-conference foe Kentucky, and Alaska is ranked fifth. Conference opponents Nevada and UTEP are ranked No. 13 and 17, respectively. Air Force enters the championships with a 10-5 season record, 3-4 in the conference.
In 2015, Air Force was host to the Patriot Rifle Conference Championships. The Falcons finished fourth in the conference, and concluded the season, 17-6. Air Force made its second trip to the NCAA Rifle Championships since 2013, finishing seventh in the nation; in air rifle Air Force finished fifth and eighth in smallbore. In 2014, the first year for the PRC, Air Force was 10-6 for the season, and placed second in the conference, finishing fourth in smallbore and second in air rifle with a 6-3 record. Following the 2016 Patriot Rifle Conference Championships, TCU on Feb 20.
