Katerina Matysova and Mackenna Maddox-Herr beat Lily Forlini and Nelson, 6-2, at No. 3. Chloe Forlini and Rudico were leading 5-2 at No 2 doubles when the doubles point was won.
The Huskers won five of the six singles matches with Air Force's lone win coming at No. 2 when Chloe Forlini beat Mary Hanna, 6-1, 6-1. "We competed very well against two good teams playing on some of the slowest courts we have played on," Air Force head coach Kim Gidley said. "I was pleased with the energy and discipline the team showed. It was disappointing not to finish the No. 2 doubles against Nebraska because we were solidly ahead and playing well. We had tight matches in singles and overall did a good job."
Air Force drops to 3-3 overall with the losses. The Falcons are idle until returning to action at Kansas State on Feb. 20.
