
Air Force Falls At Wyoming

Air Force women's soccer dropped a 4-2 contest at Wyoming (6-6-1, 2-3 MW) in Mountain West action Friday afternoon at the Madrid Sports Complex in Laramie, Wyo. The Falcons fell to 6-5-1, 2-3 MW on the season.
Air Force could not hold an early 2-0 lead as Wyoming scored four unanswered goals.
The Falcons stuck for the first score in the eighth minute on senior Ashley Greco's goal. Sophomore Kaitlyn Cook sent in a deep pass from the left side line towards the middle of the box which was attempted to be cleared out by Wyoming. Greco was able to get to the loose ball and cleaned up on a shot to the lower left for her second goal of the season.
Air Force made it 2-0 at the 28:56 mark on sophomore Bre Robertson's goal. Cook sent in a corner kick that came right back out to her. She lofted across the box to Robertson who put the header right back across to the left post for the score.
Wyoming began its comeback just 30 seconds later as Summer Halle scored the first of her three goals at the 29:24 mark. Halle tied the game with a goal in the 53rd and Michaela Stark gave the Cowgirls the lead with a goal in the 77th. Just one minute later, Halle put the match away with her hat-trick goal in the 78th,
The Falcons made the most of their offensive possessions, scoring of two of their five shot attempts. Sophomore Jennifer Hiddink had eight saves in goal for the Falcons.
Air Force returns to action Sunday, Oct. 9 at Colorado State.
