AIR FORCE ACADEMY ATHLETICS LAUCHES TICKETS FOR TROOPS CAMPAIGN
Falcon Football Becomes Bowl Eligible With Victory Over Army West Point
U.S. Air Force Academy, Colo. (Nov. 9, 2016) - For the ninth season, The Air Force Academy Athletic Corporation has launched its annual "Tickets for Troops" campaign as the Falcon Football team became bowl eligible last weekend, winning its record 20th Commander in Chiefs Trophy with a 31-12 victory over Army West Point. Details of the Falcons' bowl game will be announced early in December.
The Tickets For Troops program depends on generous donors (individuals, groups, and corporations) to provide resources so that most deserving service men and women - and their family members receive tickets for free to attend the Air Force Football bowl game. Recipients of the tickets are chosen by installation commanders, chief master sergeants, first sergeants or their equivalents. The program is very popular and last year the Air Force was able to provide 5,000 tickets to deserving personnel.
The Air Force Academy Athletic Corporation is a 501c3 tax exempt organization so all donations are tax deductible to the maximum extent authorized by IRS guidelines. With the "Tickets for Troops" Campaign donors have the opportunity to receive a commemorative bowl game gift based on their level of donations.
Any donations, beyond providing tickets, will be reinvested into the Air Force Academy Athletics Department to support our amazing cadet-athletes.
Thank you for your support of the Air Force Academy Athletics Department, Falcon Football and our Nation's service men and women!
