LAST SEASON
(Nov. 20, 2015) Air Force defeated Boise State, 37-30, in Boise to post its second straight win over the Broncos. Boise State scored on its first offensive play and turned an Air Force turnover on its first offensive play into a field goal to take a 10-0 lead 90 seconds into the game. Air Force got going from there. Following field goals by each team, the Falcons scored 21 second-quarter points to take a 24-13 halftime lead. Karson Roberts ran for a score and hit Jalen Robinette for another to lead the charge. Roberts struck through the air on the opening drive of the second half to extend the lead to 31-13. Boise State closed to within seven, 34-27, but a career-long 45 yard field goal by Luke Strebel sealed the game with just over two minutes remaining. Boise State added a late field goal to make up the final margin. Air Force rolled up 607 total yards and used a balanced attack with 328 yards rushing and 279 passing. Roberts led the way with a career-high 279 yards passing and two touchdowns. Jacobi Owens powered the running game with 145 yards. The defense was led by Roland Ladipo, who had nine tackles and a career-high four pass breakups. Alex Hansen chipped in with four tackles, two sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss. The defense held Boise State to 378 total yards.
THE LAST TIME IN FALCON STADIUM
(Sept. 27, 2014) Air Force defeated Boise State, 28-14, to snap a 10-game conference losing streak and hand the Broncos their first loss against a Mountain Division team since joining the conference. The Falcons rolled to a 28-0 lead early the fourth quarter before giving up a pair of late touchdowns to make up the final margin. Kale Pearson hit Garrett Brown with a four-yard touchdown pass to open the scoring, than added a five-yard touchdown run to make it 14-0 midway through the second quarter. Will Conant hit a 25-yard field goal as time expired in the first half to give the Falcons a 17-0 advantage at halftime. Conant hit his second field goal and Jacobi Owens scored on a 10-yard run and Pearson and Brown hooked up on a two-point conversion to make it 28-0 with 11:35 left. Pearson finished the game with 127 yards rushing on 20 carries. Owens chipped in with 108 yards on 24 carries. Pearson also hit five of 11 passes for 48 yards. Weston Steelhammer led the defense, matching a school record with three interceptions while adding two tackles for loss. Jordan Pierce led the defense with 10 tackles, a tackle for loss and an interception that he returned 56 yards. The Falcons had 335 total yards while allowing 467 total yards, but forced seven Boise State turnovers.

Air Force is 46-15 in Falcon Stadium under head coach Troy Calhoun, including a school-record 15-game winning streak from 2014 to Oct. 22, 2016. The Falcons finished 6-0 at home the last two seasons to mark the first back-to-back undefeated home seasons in school history. LAST WEEK
Air Force defeated San Jose State, 41-38, to improve to 4-1 in road games this season. Arion Worthman recorded career highs of 28 carries for 215 yards and two touchdowns while throw the game-winning 22-yard touchdown pass to Jalen Robinette in the final minute to lead the Falcons. Worthman hit three of six passes for 30 yards and the score. The Falcons rolled up 491 total yards, including 458 rushing. Tim McVey added 89 yards rushing while Jacobi Owens chipped in with 86 yards rushing. The Falcons were led on defense by senior Weston Steelhammer, who had a team-best 10 tackles, a tackle for loss and two interceptions. Air Force rallied from a 38-34 deficit with under four minutes remaining to prevail. Following a defensive stop, the Falcons took over deep in San Jose State territory after a short punt and drove it in for the winning score. Steelhammer recorded his second pick on a deflection to seal the game. San Jose State had 457 total yards, including 340 passing. Kenny Potter hit 25-37 passes for 340 yards and two scores and rushed for 52 yards and three more touchdowns.
